Fresh Tomato Sauce

Red Tomato Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:
- 3 cloves of garlic chopped
- 1 hot pepper
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 stem of basil plant
- fresh tomato juice * substitute any tomato juice, or can of whole tomatoes chopped*

To assemble begin with a sauce pan and add olive oil on medium heat to warm up. Add coarsely chopped garlic, hot pepper and basil stem to oil. Lightly brown, about 2 minutes. Next add 1 large can of tomato juice, you can also buy whole tomatoes in a can and just mix them in a food processor until smooth. Add a good handful of fresh basil to sauce, along with salt and pepper. Cook for about 15 minutes on medium heat and turn off to allow sauce to thicken. Enjoy.
